We provide psychology , counselling , behaviour therapy and assessment services to clients across a variety of frameworks and funding streams including NDIS, Workers Compensation, Medicare, Private funded and EAP.
The Business Operations Manager (full time or 0.8FTE ) is essential to lead the organisation operationally, maintaining competitive advantage and pursuing strategic growth.
THE ROLE:
· Full time or part time (minimum 4 days)
· Role is in office (Unley with attendance at our other offices) , with some WFH
· Some out of business hours work is required – eg : events and networking
· Role reports to the Managing Director and works closely with the leadership team and other personnel as required
· Role provides direct line management to the Office/Admin Manager and has operational oversight of the Clinical Managers, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities while respecting their clinical leadership responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Operational Leadership & Delivery- identify & address inefficiencies, design & continuously improve day to day workflows. Ensure business operations are scalable & aligned with strategy. Oversee resource planning
Systems Processing & Reporting - identify, introduce and embed new systems , workflows and technologies . Lead business reporting activities
Financial & Commercial management – oversee financial management in conjunction with MD, support budget planning , use data to drive improvements in profitability
Performance & Productivity – establish and track productivity and service delivery metrics, monitor practitioner output and patient servicing, partner with clinical managers to improve client outcomes and service delivery
People Management & Culture – operational leadership, lead staff engagement and attraction and retention
Strategic Input & Business Growth - Collaborate with leadership team on business planning & strategy implementation , Identify & Scope operational requirements to support new growth initiatives, support BD activities
Project Management – Lead internal projects , define goals, timelines, responsibilities & deliverables
This role requires navigating rapid growth while ensuring operational stability, embedding scalable systems, and fostering a performance culture that is both accountable and adaptable. A key challenge lies in translating high-level strategic goals into efficient, day-to-day operations that enhance profitability and consistency across multiple sites.
YOU:
Min 5 years post graduate experience and experience in a senior/ managerial role
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Operations/ Practice Management, Health Services Management or related fields preferred.
Experience in healthcare, mental health, disability service environments essential.
Proven experience managing operations in a complex, multi-site or multi-disciplinary service organisation.
Strong capability in process design, systems implementation, and performance management.
Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable operational plans.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment with evolving priorities.
High level of commercial acumen and understanding of the financial drivers of business profitability.
Skilled in project management with a track record of delivering initiatives on time and within scope.
