Overview

Excellent permanent and casual rates on offer. Topdrill, one of Australia's leading privately owned drilling companies, has been rapidly growing and shows predictions for continued growth in the coming years. Currently, Topdrill has a fleet of 39 rigs and employs 400 staff. Our rigs are late model and utilise industry‑leading, hands‑free rod handling systems. We have recently purchased 4 brand new rigs: 2 Schramm 685's and 2 Sandvik 880's.

Available Position:

  • FIFO — choice of rosters 2:1, 2:2, 9:5, or 8:6

We seek dedicated and experienced candidates who can thrive in a fast‑paced environment, working independently with meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Maintain essential records, including audits, faults, repairs, and services.
Ideal Candidates Will Have Experience With
  • Schramm Drill Rigs
  • Sandvik/UDR Drill Rigs
  • Hurricane Boosters
  • Sullair and IR Compressors
  • MAN and Mercedes Trucks
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Can work both as part of a team and autonomously when required
  • Certificate III in Mechanical Trade (Fitting) or Cert III in Drilling Operations
  • Minimum HR (open) class driver's license
  • Full working rights in Australia (valid visas will be considered)
  • Exploration drilling experience with strong knowledge of boosters and auxiliary compressors
  • HR (Open) Class Licence
  • First Aid Training Certificate
  • Working at Heights Ticket and Confined Space tickets
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol screening
  • National Police Clearance
