Overview

Heavy Diesel Mechanic – Field Service (Onsite) at Cummins Tamworth. Join Cummins Tamworth as a Field Service Technician supporting over 170 high-horsepower engines powering mining operations in the Gunnedah Basin. This is your chance to work with leading OEMs and world-class equipment on-site, backed by a global company that invests in your future.

Responsibilities
  • Work on critical mining projects and be the point of contact at customer sites
  • First responder to breakdown events and fault diagnostics
  • Fleet maintenance
  • Diverse range of engine repairs, both major and minor
  • Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr, etc.

Qualifications / What you will need
  • Field service experience preferred coupled with heavy duty engine experience
  • The ability to work autonomously/remotely for extended periods
  • A genuine commitment to workplace safety
  • A valid driver's license
  • Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
