As Emergency Management Support Officer, you'll play a vital role in shaping emergency preparedness and response across one of Melbourne's most dynamic and rapidly growing municipalities.   You will make an impact by
  • Supporting the development and implementation of emergency management plans and programs.
  • Assisting in fire management planning and annual inspection programs.
  • Providing strategic advice and coordination across Council and community stakeholders.
  • Promoting emergency management education and awareness initiatives.
  • Contributing to Council's readiness and response capabilities during emergency events.
    
    
  What You Will Bring
  • A sound understanding of emergency management principles and practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions using good judgement and experience.
  • High-level customer service skills with a proactive and helpful approach.
  • Well-developed project support and coordination capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant specialist software.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours during emergency events.
