About The Role

Due to our Rapid Growth, our Engineering team are now on the hunt for Network Engineers in Cairns to assist in the delivery of current and upcoming projects. In this role you will be assisting the engineering team in delivering design and implementation projects into the health sector.

In this role, you will undertake duties including, but not limited to the following:
  • Work as part of multidiscipline engineering teams to deliver complex communications projects.
  • High level and detailed network integration for a variety of different applications
  • Hands on work across multiple vendors' routing, switching, Wi-Fi and firewall equipment on site and in our testing facilities for proofs of concept and factory acceptance testing.
  • Perform WiFi site surveys
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on security requirements and implementation.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve serious service incidents, including hardware & software faults.
  • Provide consulting to clients to optimise existing networks and identify new and innovative solutions.

To be considered for this opportunity you must possess the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network design, implementation, and support.
  • Demonstrable aptitude for technology, design and problem solving
  • Excellent understanding of multiple Cisco products, such as Wireless, Route/Switch, Collaboration and Compute
  • Experience with equipment from multiple vendors.
  • Understanding of infrastructure security principles and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
