About NBMLHD

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) provides a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. The Medical Imaging department offers a wide range of services including general X-ray, theatre imaging, CT, and ultrasound. Operating seven days a week from 8:00 am to midnight with overnight on-call coverage, the department supports a diverse range of presentations. Staff have mobility opportunities across NBMLHD to tertiary referral centres and regional sites.

Radiographers work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care, participate in continuous improvement, and support research and innovative practice models.

What You Will Do

The role involves contributing to high-quality radiographic imaging across General X-ray, theatre imaging, CT, and ultrasound services, in a busy hospital environment, while upholding safety and quality standards and collaborating with clinicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.

What You Will Bring To The Role
  • Degree in medical radiation science - diagnostic or equivalent.
  • Current or provisional AHPRA registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB).
  • Holds current EPA IA14Y Radiation Licence.
  • Previous hospital experience including theatre, CT, mobile, and trauma radiography.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of work, health and safety and infection control in a radiology context.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently as required.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and time management in a clinical environment.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may occur only if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed visa conditions.
