Job/Project Description – tasks to be performed on a daily basis

The client needs a Tester – SAS to perform testing activities across the Credit Risk projects.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Execute and ensure delivery of testing as part of the Credit Risk use case projects.
  • Ensure visibility, traceability, and control of the testing process to deliver as per the business requirements.
  • Deliver test approach, test plans, test cases, test scheduling, test completion reports, execution of test cases and ensuring the standards are strictly met throughout the delivery phases.
  • Effectively plan and monitor the regression cycles for every release.
  • Closely work with test automation engineers and test leads to have continuous improvements on the automation coverage for regression test cases.
  • Closely work with Product Owners to ensure and keep the regression suite up to date with business requirements.
  • Maintain and update any existing testing metrics / governance dashboards.
  • Support regular audits on the test artefacts across the squads / projects and ensure the right quality standards are followed.
  • Work collaboratively in team environment, build strong relationships, coordinate resolution of technically complex problems and issues.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • 3+ years of SAS Testing experience.
  • Proven experience in defining the Test Approach, Test Plans, and Test Completion report.
  • Proven experience in test execution leveraging test automation tools where applicable.
  • Apply testing methodologies, theories, and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing processes.
  • Proactively identify issues and risks.
  • 3+ years of experience within projects and/or delivery of business and technology solutions, involving engineering of complex data processes.
  • 3+ years of Advanced SQL and SAS experience particularly in data manipulation, cleansing using Base SAS, SAS/Macro, SAS DI Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Management Console and overall SAS Platform.
  • 1+ years of experience in Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, Python), API Dev(Java Spring, MVC), Azure Cloud (Synapse Analytics, CosmosDB).
  • Experience in warehousing, modelling, integration tools such as Informatica, Sterling and be familiar with business intelligence tools such as IBM Cognos/TM1, Power Bi, Tableau.
  • Experience testing within SAS 9.4 or Viya platform.
  • Experience working in Azure cloud environment.
  • Understanding of the Data Mesh Architecture and its Domain Data Products concepts.
  • Technology industry experience, exposure to the Banking industry specially Credit Risk domain.
  • Advanced analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting and consultative skills.

  • A firm understanding of a financial services operating environment and core applications and products desirable.
