At RJE Global, we specialise in projects involving the provision of electrical balance of plant solutions. This encompasses various aspects such as underground and overhead high voltage transmission systems, substations and switchyards, diesel and gas-fired turbines, wind farms, battery storage systems, and mining process plants. We have established strong partnerships with Australia's leading transmission network providers, suppliers of wind, gas, and diesel generation equipment, as well as prominent mining companies.

RJE Global are seeking experienced Electrical Tradespersons for the construction of a large-scale battery energy storage systems BESS, wind farms and other resource and power infrastructure related projects. The location of the projects can be interstate regional areas, so travel to rostered work away from home is an expectation. Current major projects include Mortlake BESS VIC, New England BESS NSW, Summerfield BESS SA, Warradarge Wind Farm WA and King Rocks Wind Farm WA.

Responsibilities:

Assemble, install, terminate, test, commission and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.

Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, electrical distribution equipment and systems, electrical control equipment, or other components.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with electrical codes, specifications and standards.

Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Ensure documents and drawings are updated to represent the electrical work installed.

Verify quality control and contract requirements, via ITP's, ITR's or in consultation with their supervisor, to meet company requirements.

Review and contribute to the development of Safe Work Method Statements and sign on accordingly.

Ensure project related data is forwarded to Site Supervisor for inclusion into the handover pack.

Required:

Unrestricted driver's licence

A Class Electrical License (within home state)

LV Rescue and Resuscitation Certificate (within 12 months)

Construction Industry White Card

Must be able to pass a medical examination and random drug & alcohol tests

Advantageous:

Leading Hand and / or Supervisory experience

Experience in industrial electrical installation, including cable support systems and cabling (MV, LV, DC, Control, Fire and Communications)

High Voltageinstallation / testingexperience and qualifications

Fibre Optic installation / testing experience and qualifications

Dual Trade / Instrumentation / MV Cable Jointing / Air Conditioning

High risk work licence – WP, CN, DG, RB, LF, SB

Safe Work at Heights Training

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic / wiring / SLD diagrams and drawings

Ability to read and interpret layout and general arrangement drawings

Fitting and mounting of electrical switchgear, components and wiring into switchboards

Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and specifications

Experience in quality assurance - electrical testing and verification
