Hospitality Traineeship

Career Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a Hospitality Trainee to work with our valued Host Employer in Whyalla. This is a part time position, requiring you to work at least 24 hours per week.

As part of this opportunity, you'll complete a Certificate III in Hospitality, gaining practical skills to work confidently in both bar service and kitchen operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain and further the essential skills and knowledge to excel in the hospitality industry.

Throughout this traineeship, you'll gain hands-on experience in a local club, commercial kitchen & function space while studying toward a nationally recognised qualification.

You'll gain practical skills, industry certifications, and personalised mentoring from industry leaders – all while getting paid to learn. You may also undertake the following:

• Greet and serve customers, take food and beverage orders, and provide great dining experiences.
• Assist with meal and drink service, table setting, and general front-of-house duties.
• Prepare espresso coffee and serve both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages (RSA required).
• Maintain clean, safe, and hygienic workspaces in line with food safety standards.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle payments, and manage transactions accurately.
• Work collaboratively with a small team in a busy hospitality setting.

• A can-do attitude and the drive to succeed.
• A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
• Great people skills and love being part of a team.
• The ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay cool under pressure.
• Willingness to commit to a 12-18 month traineeship.
• Previous bar/cafe or barista experience is a bonus but not essential.
