What about the role:

  1. Make user-informed decisions about solutions by forming a deep understanding of user problems.
  2. Define and create design artefacts, from user journeys, screen workflows, and UX analysis to detailed wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
  3. Illustrate user journeys and information architecture using storyboards, user flows, and sitemaps.
  4. Work embedded in cross-functional product development teams.
  5. Create and evolve design mock-ups efficiently and to appropriate level of fidelity (including hi-fi when required).
  6. Align teams to customer and business priorities by regularly presenting information, educating and providing context, leveraging forums such as standups, Product All Hands, guilds, etc.
  7. Identify opportunities for improving UX/UI across products.
  8. Collaborate with areas of the business to assess the feasibility of ideas.
  9. Other duties as reasonably required by the business.

Leadership and People Management Aspirations:

As the Design practice at Magentus grows, there may be future opportunities for team leadership and management roles. Candidates with experience or aspirations in this area are encouraged to apply.

What experience or qualifications do I need:

  1. Proven experience as a UI/UX designer for 6+ years.
  2. 1+ year team leadership / management experience preferred. We are looking for candidates who may be interested in the people management side of design leadership and can demonstrate experience with formal (or informal) coaching, empowerment, and providing feedback to members of your teams.
  3. Technology and/or health industry experience highly desirable.
  4. Experience with Jira and Confluence tools is highly desirable.
