This critical role in the merchandise team requires building long-lasting partnerships with customers and delivering appropriate advice and services using specialist knowledge of a variety of agricultural products and supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Branch Manager, manage sales and inventory of a range of products and services, including animal health, agronomy chemicals, and other general agricultural merchandise.
  • Work closely with store management and sales teams, providing merchandise support such as stock takes, retail operations improvements, on-farm meetings, technical information, and mentoring to encourage improved performance.
  • Contribute to branch budgets and manage the branch P&L. Negotiate with suppliers and develop pricing strategies; oversee stock levels and marketing initiatives to maintain competitive position for all lines.
  • Analyse market trends, climatic and seasonal considerations to ensure Nutrien Ag Solutions is the first choice for rural customers in the region.

  • Ability to network and identify opportunities for business development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders, with the ability to drive business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to SAP ERP is preferred, with strong MS Excel for reporting.
  • Current and clean driver's license required; Forklift ticket is highly advantageous.
