Successful candidates will be required to meet Coachair's employment criteria which may include but not be limited to a criminal history check and full medical including drug and alcohol test.
What you'll be doing- Installing, servicing, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems on modern buses and coaches
- Performing electrical diagnostics and repairs (auto-electrical & HVAC-related)
- Troubleshooting and resolving both mechanical and electrical HVAC issues
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and fault-finding
- Ensuring all work meets industry standards, safety requirements, and Coachair procedures
- Preparing accurate service reports, job cards, and documentation
- Providing professional customer service and building strong client relationships
- Assisting in continuous improvement of workshop and field service processes
(In addition to the above technician duties)
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of service technicians
- Scheduling, allocating, and overseeing field service work across the region
- Driving growth of the service team and customer base
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Ensuring service operations are efficient, profitable, and customer-focused
- Managing warranty claims, parts, and service administration
- Monitoring performance, productivity, and compliance with company policies
- Promoting a safe work culture and ensuring OH&S standards are upheld
- Working closely with senior management to plan and deliver service strategies
- Qualified Refrigeration Technician with relevant experience (certified AAC02 preferred)
- Qualified auto electrician - optional
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with customers
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid Australian driver's licence
- Competitive hourly rate based on your experience
