About the Program

Mobile Patient Care (MPC) provides Non-Emergency Patient Transport across Victoria and parts of New South Wales, supporting transport with RFDS aircraft and a fleet of ambulances.

About the Role

As a Patient Transport Officer (PTO), you will ensure the safe and courteous transportation of patients with various medical conditions, providing comfort and care during transit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessment and intervention on-road
  • Provide high-quality patient care during transport
  • Develop positive relationships with patients and stakeholders
  • Work independently and solve problems within policies
  • Collaborate with team members
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Certificate III in Non-Emergency Patient Care, Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent; Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) students may apply after second-year subjects
  • Availability to work 10-12 hour shifts across 7 days
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive in city and rural areas
  • Compassionate, professional, dedicated
  • Experience in NEPT sector is desirable but not essential
  • Satisfactory safety screening including police check, working with children check, and right to work in Australia
