What does a typical day look like in a Shop?

In your 4-hour shift (or more if you like) you'll be doing a variety of tasks like:

  • Welcoming and engaging customers
  • Processing transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
  • Sorting and pricing donations
  • Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers
  • Keeping the shop clean and tidy
  • Following all shop processes
What skills do you need?
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Sociable and engaging with others
  • Happy to work as part of a team
  • Flexible and willing to do any of the shop tasks
  • Commitment to your nominated shift
What's the application process?
  • No need to upload a resume – just tell us why you're interested in the role
  • We'll then have a friendly interview in store and ask you a few questions and you can ask us questions too
  • You must be at least 15 years of age (QLD – You must be 16)
  • Completing a National Police check (paid for by Red Cross)
  • You will also be required to complete an Induction into our organisation and Retail program
