Are you passionate about delivering accurate financial reporting and driving process improvements? Retail Food Group (RFG) is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day financial accounting operations, support compliance, and partner with stakeholders to enhance business performance.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee accurate and timely month-end close and consolidated financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and regulatory requirements (domestic and international).
• Manage general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Lead and support external audits, including half-year and full-year processes.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and assess financial risk.
• Lead and develop the Accounting Team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, ATO, and senior executives.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven accounting professional who thrives on delivering accurate financial outcomes and improving core processes. You'll be a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, able to connect financial reporting with commercial performance and support strategic decision-making.

You'll also bring:

• CA or CPA qualification with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including AASB 16 (Leases)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Advanced ERP systems and Excel capabilities
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• High attention to detail with strong multi-tasking ability
• Deep understanding of statutory and management accounting principles
• Commercially minded with the ability to simplify complex concepts
• Proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused approach
• Energetic, results-oriented, and hands-on attitude
• Ability to influence and lead across geographically dispersed teams
• Strategic thinker with a practical mindset
