Welcome to Eden Academy Junction Village, where we are a child-safe organisation committed to the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of all children.
Operating from 7:00am to 6:30pm, we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Hand / Educator to join our team, working Monday to Friday, with 3-4 hours per day in the kitchen and the rest of the day supporting our 7 vibrant rooms supporting our 130 children.
We'd love to welcome someone who brings warmth, joy, and positive energy into everything they do You'll be a valued helping hand in the kitchen alongside our Chef, and a support for our Educators as you step into rooms to provide relief breaks. You'll help create a nurturing, fun, and joyful environment for children and educators to thrive.
Ideally, we seek someone willing to support in the kitchen and provide relief in rooms. At our centre, with 7 rooms and 130 children, your role will include:

  • Supporting our Chef in preparing healthy, nutritious meals
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive team
  • Supporting children's health and wellbeing through nutritious food
  • Building positive relationships with staff, families, and children
  • Ability to lift 15kgs and handle heavy equipment
  • Completing temperature checks and understanding food hygiene
  • Being familiar with allergies and understanding dietary needs for children

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum qualifications: Food Handling Certificate and Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Understanding of diverse dietary requirements and food sensitivities
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday
