Purpose

An exciting opportunity for a Design Assistant to join the Witchery Accessories team, supporting the design team with product samples, administration, fit, storyboards, and range concepts. The role involves ensuring quality is maintained throughout development and production stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Accessories design team to develop range concepts.
  • Attend fit meetings and other related meetings impacting range development.
  • Research seasonal trends, fabrics, and key ideas aligned with Witchery's design aesthetic.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and fit sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and prepare range boards.
  • Create and update technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Source materials in collaboration with the Designer, Buyer, and Product Developer, aligned with seasonal trends.
  • Complete monthly product care and details guides provided by the Ecommerce team.
  • Support adhoc projects, sample management, research, and team tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to monitor the development process.

Key Capabilities

  • A tertiary qualification in Fashion or Textiles is preferred.
  • Proficiency in illustration software packages.
  • Experience in a similar design-led role within the fashion industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
