As The Princeton Review Australia (TPRA) builds its presence in the premium education space, we invite a visionary leader to join us in redefining what student success looks like in Australia.

Your Role: Director of Student Success

As the Director of Student Success, you will lead a high-performing team delivering academic, admissions, and holistic support for Australia's most ambitious students. Your remit will span the full journey – from academic readiness to extracurricular strategy, to crafting world-class university applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Academic Pathway Planning
    • Create and oversee individualised academic plans for students from Years 5 to 12.
    • Align subject choices and test prep strategy with long-term university goals.
    • Partner with SAT/ACT/AP instructors to monitor progress and ensure high standards.
  2. University Admissions Strategy
    • Lead one-on-one and group counselling sessions for US and Australian university admissions.
    • Develop and deliver masterclasses on admissions trends, application strategies, and testing roadmaps.
    • Guide students through every aspect of the university application – including Common App and Australian portals.
    • Run workshops and mentoring sessions on storytelling, voice, and narrative structure.
    • Oversee brainstorming, editing, and redrafting of personal statements and supplemental essays.
    • Ensure each student's application is authentic, strategic, and aligned with institutional expectations.
  3. Extracurricular & Leadership Coaching
    • Help students identify and pursue signature projects, research, competitions, and summer programmes.
    • Build student portfolios showcasing initiative, purpose, and leadership – essential for top-tier admissions.
    • Lead and manage a growing team of college counsellors, test prep instructors, academic coaches, and external service providers.
    • Establish and uphold benchmarks for service quality, progress tracking, and family communication.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to deliver a seamless, high-touch experience.
  4. School & Family Partnerships
    • Cultivate trusted relationships with elite Australian private schools, students, and families.
    • Deliver tailored seminars, information sessions, and onboarding programmes for both parents and educators.
    • Represent TPRA at industry events, education expos, and community outreach initiatives.

What You Bring:

  • A degree from a Top 30 US university (strongly preferred), with a deep understanding of the American admissions landscape.
  • At least 5 years' experience in US college counselling, academic planning, or private school advising.
  • A track record of leadership, either in managing counselling/advisory teams or cross-functional programme delivery.
  • Familiarity with SAT, ACT, AP, IB, GRE, GMAT, and relevant Australian school and university systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for educational equity, personal growth, and global success.

Ready to Inspire the Next Generation of Global Achievers?

This is your opportunity to make a real and lasting impact—guiding exceptional students towards the universities, careers, and futures they deserve.
