Agilent's Life Science/ Chemical Analysis Group (LSCA) is a leading provider of analytical instrument systems that enable customers to identify, quantify, analyze and test the molecular, physical and biological properties of thousands of substances and products. LSCA has five sites worldwide: Waldbronn in Germany, Little Falls and Palo Alto in the USA, Tokyo in Japan, and Shanghai in China.

Your Role – Graduate Field Service Engineer (Life Sciences/Chemistry)

We are looking for a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team of high-performing, passionate professionals. As part of this fun-loving and dedicated group, you'll be at the heart of Agilent's customer experience—delivering service excellence that sets us apart in the industry.

With a background in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or a related scientific discipline, you will play a key role in supporting our clients across the region. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation, configuration, and commissioning of advanced Agilent instrumentation (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, Atomic Spectroscopy systems, and more).
  • Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal instrument performance.
  • Advising clients on best practices, configurations, and service plans to improve performance and reliability.
  • Be involved in complex, multimillion-dollar instrument deployments in laboratory environments.
  • Longer term you may provide our customers with application-level support and training.

Qualifications

To be really successful in this position you should have a relevant Master's degree or University Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology although your proactive approach, team spirit and eagerness to build strong cross functional relationships will ultimately drive your success. You enjoy being in front of customers and supporting them while demonstrating your technical expertise. Both domestic and international travel plays a big part of this role, and it can take you to some incredible places.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
