Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer (Perth, WA)

We're seeking a Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer to join our client in Perth (engineering consultancy) to work on mineral processing projects (gold mining). This will be a 12-month initial contract, with the possibility of long-term employment. The role is based in Perth, with office hours from Monday to Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing designs for power distribution, motor control, and PLC control systems for mining projects.
  • Preparing design drawings, assisting with procurement of electrical equipment, and coordinating with external parties to fabricate control panels.
  • There may be short periods of onsite work during the commissioning phase, although the position is primarily based in Perth.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Electrical/Controls Engineering Degree recognized by Engineers Australia.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with mining projects, including site exposure.
  • Experience with PLC systems, Variable Speed Drives, and site or commissioning experience is highly advantageous.
  • Experience with Gold Mining Processes is highly advantageous.
  • Current Australian working rights – Citizen, PR, or Eligible Visa.
