Cathara Consulting is an Australian-based Consulting firm specialising in Business Transformations and Technology Consulting & Resourcing Services.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our team, providing program coordination consulting services to our Tasmanian client. This is a 3-month initial contract with an extension option of a further 12-months.

The role

As a Senior Consultant you will assist Program and Project Managers with administrative functions relating to the successful day-to-day management of projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of program timelines, dependencies, and milestones to meet overarching program goals and deadlines. This includes effective resource planning, anticipating schedule conflict, and maintaining program momentum through proactive monitoring and reporting.

You will support project administration and governance by contributing to procurement, budget, finance and reporting tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Deliver key program management documentation including strategies and approach, and options papers
  • Develop, manage and maintain schedules, including dependency management, resource allocation, and resource and financial forecasts
  • Maintain oversight of program tasks across multiple, complex workstreams and undertake follow-up actions to ensure timely completion
  • Identify, provide advice, and manage interdependencies to meet program goals and timelines
  • Develop and deliver standard reporting documentation and activities (liaising as needed with the Customer), including committee papers, reports and plans
  • Plan and, where relevant, facilitate program meetings with internal Customer and external stakeholders, in relation to delivery of the ICT Professional Services
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Experience in the provision of Program Coordination Processes
  • Experience in the extraction of financial information and project cost reporting and reconciliation
  • Experience in and understanding of project development methodologies and standards (preferably PRINCE2)
  • Demonstrated strong analysis and interpersonal skills

This is a Hobart based role, and you will need to reside in Hobart for the duration of the contract.

No remote options are available for this opportunity.

You will need to be able to obtain a clean police clearance and have full working rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
