The Opportunity

We're partnering with a leading mining operator with an enviable portfolio of producing assets and a track record of commercial success. As they continue to grow and invest in future capability, we're now looking for a capable Mine Accountant to join their high-performing team at one of their key operations in regional NSW.

You'll be embedded within the site's commercial function, playing a pivotal role in shaping financial outcomes, improving controls, and contributing to operational decision-making.

This is a residential role (not FIFO) — relocation support is available for those open to the move, and trust us : it's one worth making.

Role Profile

Reporting to the Commercial Superintendent, your focus will span core financial reporting through to strategic input on cost control and performance management. Expect exposure, variety, and meaningful work at the heart of a large-scale operation. You won't just tick boxes. You'll influence outcomes.

You'll be involved in :

• Month-end management and financial reporting
• Site budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Asset register and capital expenditure oversight
• Driving financial process improvement and internal controls
• Business partnering with operational leaders and Head Office

Successful Candidate Profile

We're looking for someone who thrives in a production environment and isn't afraid to get out from behind the spreadsheet. You'll be commercially minded, analytically sharp, and comfortable partnering with both finance and operational stakeholders.

You'll likely bring :

3+ years' experience in site-based accounting (mining, heavy industry, or similar)Strong Excel and financial modelling skillsA proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvementThe confidence to challenge, collaborate and contribute
