Overview

Creche Assistant role at Careers at Council. Fixed-term (through to 24 March 2026); part-time (minimum 15 hours per fortnight). Location: Aqua Jetty, Warnbro, Perth, Western Australia.

About The Role

The Aqua Jetty in Warnbro is one of the City's and WA's premier aquatic and health facilities. We are committed to providing excellent customer service to all patrons during every visit. The centre offers a range of programs and facilities for the whole community and is open 7 days a week.

Responsibilities
  • Provide child care services to patrons visiting the centre.
  • Supervise children and maintain appropriate hygiene procedures.
  • Provide feedback to parents as required.
Essential Qualifications
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
Desirable / Additional

If you have previous experience in the child care industry and/or relevant training or qualifications, we would be keen to hear from you.

Working Hours & Conditions

Applicants must be flexible and available to work in line with the facility opening hours. Aqua Jetty operates seven days per week, from 5:00am to 9:00pm (Mon–Fri) and 6:30am to 7:00pm (Sat–Sun). All shifts will fall within these hours. A guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per fortnight.

What We Offer

Hourly rate: $26.64 plus superannuation. An information package, including the position description, is available on our website. Applications must be submitted by 4:00pm, Wednesday 24 September 2025. The City reserves the right to close applications early if a suitable pool of applications is received.

The process may be used to fill future similar positions that may become available in the City during the next 12 months.
