About The Role

As a Bus Driver, you'll play a vital role in providing residents with opportunities to connect, enjoy social activities, and reduce isolation.

The role requires a commitment of 16 hours per week (Tuesday and Thursday; 8:30 am to 4 pm), split between IRT Culburra Beach and IRT St Georges Basin.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  1. Picking up and dropping off elderly residents from various locations, assisting with access and egress from the bus as needed.
  2. Reviewing suitable venues in the community that meet the needs of our elderly residents.
  3. Maintaining and cleaning the vehicle regularly. The bus is a Mercedes 10-seater.
  4. Contributing to activities that enhance residents' lives, sense of security, companionship, fun, and relaxation.
To Be Successful You Will Have
  • Previous experience driving passenger vehicles.
  • A current Light Rigid (LR/MR) Licence.
  • A current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • The ability to work various shifts and flexible hours, including after-hours events.
  • Experience working with elderly clients is desirable.
