Coordinator - Entry Point & Outposts role at Launch Housing

This permanent and full-time role may be open to part-time (0.9 FTE). Base pay range is provided as a guide and the actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Base pay range: A$57.39/hr - A$59.94/hr

Our organisation

Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation committed to ending homelessness. We provide housing and a range of support, education and employment services to thousands at risk of or experiencing homelessness. We operate across 16 locations in metropolitan Melbourne with over 400 staff, combining direct action with advocacy, research and innovation.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead a consistent, best-practice approach to Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) within the Entry Point and across IAP outposts.
  • Lead the delivery of an adaptable service that responds to daily changes in staffing, client needs, safety, and demand on homeless services.
  • Contribute to innovative, continuous-improvement service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures affecting activities, staff safety and outcomes.
  • Establish and sustain service level partnerships and collaborative work with internal and external services.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of the funded service offer, including in-person support, across sites.
  • Respond to critical incidents and manage impacts on clients and staff.
  • Foster a strong safety focus for the wellbeing of the team.
  • Participate in sector networks to support client outcomes.
What we're looking for (key selection criteria)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable).
  • Experience in client-facing human services or related discipline, with understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems preferred.
  • Experience supporting staff who work with people with complex needs while maintaining consistent performance and behaviour.
  • Experience delivering high-quality initial assessment, planning and prioritisation programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing staff.
  • Initiative and analytical skills with strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Understanding of, or commitment to, Child Safe Standards in the workplace.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to Launch Housing values and mission to end homelessness.
Work arrangements and location

Based in Collingwood, this role is permanent and full-time with potential for a 0.9 FTE arrangement.
