Security Operations Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW

Qudos Bank Arena, Australia's premier live entertainment venue, is seeking a motivated Security Operations Administrator with compliance focus to join our Safety and Security team. This is an entry-level management role focusing on administrative tasks for the division.

Reporting to the Venue Security Coordinator, you will provide essential support across all security and compliance activities at the Arena. You will work closely with our safety and operations teams, assisting with event and venue security operations delivery from an administrative focus. As part of this role, development activities are a priority, and you can expect to engage in continuous learning.

The role requires regular work outside standard hours. This means that weekend, evening, and public holiday work will be required in line with our event calendar.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative support to the Security Team, including deployment schedules and dot plans.
• Assist in managing staff access lists, security ID cards, onboarding / offboarding, and technical security systems.
• Support workplace security investigations and internal audits to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Compile monthly security compliance reports for management and stakeholders.
• Assist with Event Control Room (ECR) operations and daily Security Control Room (SCR) functions, including CCTV, access control, BMCS, and other technical systems.
• Monitor and maintain records of staff, contractor, and visitor access, keys, identification cards, and temporary passes.
• Assist with lost property management and first response to non-event day incidents and completion of relevant Incident Report documentation.
• Contribute to risk assessments, incident reporting, and promotion of a positive safety culture.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, trends, and best practices in venue security.
• In the absence of the line management, deputise and liaise with contracted Security Service Provider, Local Police, Fire & Rescue NSW, NSW Ambulance, Defence Forces and medical / First Aid Service Provider personnel.

SPECIALIST SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience in security for event operations or asset security.Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.Experience with CCTV, access control, and electronic document management systems is desirable.Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Understanding of Australia's National Security Strategy is advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current Police Check.NSW Driver's Licence.Security Licence Class 1 AE (or willingness to obtain).Certificate II in Security Operations (or willingness to obtain).Work Health and Safety General Induction (White Card).Current First Aid Certification.RSA Certification valid in NSW (or willingness to obtain).
