Agency Projects is a national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander not-for-profit organisation based in Naarm (Melbourne), working with First Nations artists, communities and organisations to deliver impactful programs across visual arts, cultural exchange, and creative diplomacy.

We are now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead us into our next chapter. This is an exceptional opportunity for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander leader to guide a small and dedicated team, grow our national and international impact, and champion the role of First Nations art and culture in shaping society.

Responsibilities
  • The CEO will be responsible for:
  • Leading with cultural authority and strategic vision
  • Overseeing the delivery of programs across urban, regional and remote communities
  • Building strong partnerships across the arts, government, philanthropic and corporate sectors
  • Securing sustainable funding and managing the organisation's financial health
  • Supporting governance, compliance, and a culturally safe workplace culture
Qualifications
  • We welcome applications from individuals with:
  • Deep experience working in or alongside the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visual arts sector
  • Proven leadership and team-building experience
  • Skills in strategic thinking, partnership development, and financial oversight
  • Strong stakeholder relationships and networks across community and the arts
  • A commitment to community-led practice, accountability and transparency
