About the Opportunity

We're looking for a Materials & Processes (M&P) Engineer to join our dynamic Airframe Structures Team in Brisbane or Sydney. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in providing essential support for our diverse portfolio of commercial and military fixed and rotary-wing aircraft programs. Reporting to your Team Lead and guided by your Technical Lead, you'll leverage your expertise in materials to develop, approve, and help deliver safe, practical, and agile design solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer to contribute directly to the airworthiness and longevity of critical aerospace assets.

What You'll Bring

To thrive in this role, you'll be a proactive and collaborative engineer with a solid foundation in aerospace materials and processes. You'll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a high-performing team in a continuous improvement environment.

We're looking for someone who demonstrates :

  • 5+ years of hands-on aerospace M&P experience covering repair or new designs, including strong knowledge of aerospace materials such as composites, aluminium, titanium, steel, and corrosion-resistant alloys, along with manufacturing processes like heat treatment and forming. Familiarity with non-destructive testing techniques, adhesives, and polymer materials is also required. Additionally, knowledge of military and aerospace industry standards such as MIL specs, SAE, etc., troubleshooting and investigation skills, attention to detail in supporting and developing publications and processes related to M&P.
  • Good understanding of continued and continuing airworthiness.
  • Familiarity with applicable aviation legislation and regulations (e.g., DASR, EASA, CASA, FAA, Transport Canada) and industry best practices.
  • A Bachelor of Materials Engineering / Science or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues and cross-functional teams, managing competing priorities effectively.
