Part-Time Payroll Officer (15 hours per week)

Part-Time | 15 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 5 hours per day)

About the Role

As a Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing across our workforce. Working closely with the General Manager – Payroll, you'll handle payroll administration, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and awards.

What You'll Do:
  • Process payroll for wages and salaried staff across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll transactions
  • Provide payroll-related reports and reconciliations
  • Interpret and apply relevant Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and employment legislation
  • Assist with superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax processes
  • Offer payroll support to managers and employees
What You'll Bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing (experience with iChris/TIMS Payroll is highly desirable)
  • Ability to manage payroll in a complex environment with a mix of casual and permanent staff (300+ employees)
  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and payroll systems
  • Sound understanding of employment legislation and award interpretation
