Johnson's are a well-respected and trusted, family-owned Australian agricultural feed production company who recently celebrated our 100th year of operation. The company's head office is based in Kapunda, SA along with other facilities in Dooen, Vic and Highbury, WA. About the Role:
We are now on the search for a self-motivated, highly driven and enthusiastic individual to join our JNF Team in a full-time capacity for a six-month contract with the view to extend to permanent, ongoing role as a Sales Representative for Victoria and Tasmania. In this position, your responsibilities will be to:
- Build and maintain strong relationships through in-person visits, calls and presentations with existing and prospective stockists, trainers, breeders, and equestrian communities.
- Identify new business opportunities and grow sales within your territory.
- Educate clients on the benefits of JNF products and provide tailored nutritional advice for their horses.
- Provide reports on store visits, sales figures, and competitor analysis.
- Create and execute innovative sales and marketing initiatives.
- Forge partnerships with sponsored riders, equine influencers and industry professionals to enhance brand visibility.
- Represent JNF at industry events, trade shows, and equestrian competitions.
- Work closely with the JNF team to implement sales strategies, including product demonstrations, special offers and seasonal promotions, and achieve growth targets.
- Design and set up eye-catching product displays, point-of-sale materials and promotional signage at retail locations and equine events.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a motivated, team player with:
- A passion for horses and an interest in equine health and nutrition.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management abilities.
- A self-motivated, results-oriented mindset with a sense of innovation, responsibility, and accountability.
- Outstanding communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous sales experience, preferably in the equine or agricultural industry (but not essential).
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams) and other relevant software with tech-savvy ability.
- Certification in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Agricultural Science, or Sales and Marketing will be looked upon favourably.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Flexibility to undertake some interstate travel as required.
