This role will be for a six-month duration and may possibly turn into a permanent position.

The role will start off as a day shift but after a period of time may shift to a rotating schedule: 2 days (6am-6pm), 2 nights (6pm-6am), 4 days off. As part of our Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in providing top-tier support and customer service across both the Production and Maintenance departments. Your focus will be on enhancing the efficiency of the maintenance team, identifying areas for improvement, and reducing potential delays by improving response times to plant issues and ensuring maintenance work is performed effectively.

Let's talk about you Essential

  • Certificate III or IV in engineering mechanical fitting and/or turning
  • Beverage or FMCG process knowledge and experience
  • A solid understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG including local and industry trends
  • High level process improvement skills (root cause analysis, FMECA, process improvements & corrective actions)
  • Lathe and mill experience desirable
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
  • Working at heights and Confined space trained
  • Be forward thinking and able to work autonomously
  • Team player with strong safety focus
  • Critical thinking and planning
  • An ability to consistently achieve results and deliver on promises

What will you be doing?

  • Preventative maintenance of beverage plant equipment
  • Breakdown maintenance
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Fabrication and repair of new and old parts
  • Machining of new parts and repair of old parts
  • Reporting of all works using the CMMS (Maximo)
  • Attend training on site and off site as required
  • Attend prestart meetings daily
  • Training of apprentices as required

Compiling to all site GMP, safety, and environmental standards.
