Our client is a global and well-established speciality design and manufacturing business that prides themselves on their sustainable and ethical practices.

This Finance Manager role will support on aspects of accounting, reporting, analysis, planning and budgeting in a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager based in Asia and working closely with the Managing Director, you will be a key member of the leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead the period end close process, including the preparation of journals and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Lead periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets
  • Forecast capital spend throughout the fiscal year
  • Prepare and lodge monthly GST returns and work with external advisors on annual FBT and Tax returns
  • Assist in ad-hoc strategic projects
  • Manage the inventory accounting process, with an emphasis on process controls, process improvements, cost control actions, automation, and analysis of the business results
  • Develop and coordinate plant reports, plans, and forecasts, goals & objectives, financial reconciliations, and analysis for plant leaders, including variance analysis and cost control reporting and recommendations
  • Lead Plant Performance Review Meeting with local and US management
  • Manage two Direct Reports including the Assistant Accountant and Payroll Administrator
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role ideally within manufacturing
  • Graduate degree in Accounting or similar
  • CPA/CA qualification
  • Data management and analytical skills
  • Strong financial systems and excel skills (SAP preferable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to challenge the status quo
  • Act with integrity, strong morals and business ethics
