What you'll contribute to:

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Electrician to join the Gold Coast Airport team. This is a permanentfull-timeposition that would suit a skilled tradesperson with experience in a commercial/infrastructure environment.

In this newly created and unique role, you will be responsible for ensuring Airport lighting and control systems, low & high voltage reticulation systems and baggage conveyor systems operate in a safe and efficient manner.

How will you make an impact:

The successful candidate will be trade qualified and posses a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a commercial/infrastructure related setting. The Electrical team is a small team which operates at a high cadence. You'll be afforded the opportunity to work on a rotating roster, 4 days per week and be required to remain 'on call' from time to time.

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure all electrical equipment and systems operate in a safe and efficient manner
• Minimise electrical equipment and electrical system downtime
• Carry out electrical wiring/ installation work in compliance with current standards
• Assist with training of the electrical apprentices
• Maintain awareness of current electrical/wiring standards and airport specific standards
• Aid other workgroups/teams in a variety of tasks as instructed
• Complete regulatory electrical safety inspections (e.g. testing of hand operated power tools and testing of residual current devices)
• Complete routine maintenance procedures as specified by the Asset Management System
• Ensure electrical drawings are maintained
