Community Personal Care Worker HCP / DVA - Permanent

Permanent Personal Care Workers are sought in Melbourne for a permanent position with an approved HCP, Flexible Care and DVA Community Nursing provider in Eastern Metro Victoria with existing services in the areas of Ballarat and Melbourne.

About this Role:

We have an ongoing need for passionate individuals to provide quality personal care and deliver excellent services to our clients.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will:

  • Be compassionate, reliable and respectful
  • Assist with all areas of personal care including bathing/showering, hygiene, dressing, grooming, fitting of aids, and eating meals
  • Assist with domestic duties and other activities of daily living
  • Comply with operational guidelines and task directives
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Build rapport with families, team members, and other stakeholders
  • Be able to do inactive sleepovers plus 4 hours active work
  • Willing to travel from East to West or other areas as required; company car provided

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience as a Personal Care Worker
  • Certificate III in Home and Community Care, Aged Care or Disability, or Certificate III in Individual Support
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reasonable degree of physical fitness
  • Flexibility to work available shifts on short notice
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Current Police Clearance certificate
  • Working with Vulnerable/Aged care people specific check
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations including booster
