Overview

Identity and Access Management - Solution Architect - NV1 at XPT Software Australia. This remote position involves designing and deploying IAM solutions including Entra ID, Active Directory, and related cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Work in the Cyber Engineering team to design, build, and assure identity and access management solutions for Entra ID, Active Directory, and other Defence IAM solutions.
  • Prepare System Engineering Description (SED) and other design documents.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of design documentation prepared by System Integrator and platform sustainers.
  • Design and deploy Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions with cloud-based applications.
  • Design and deploy PIM/PAM solutions for managing IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
  • Support the transition from legacy identity platforms to modern, cloud-native solutions (e.g., from ADFS).
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, Kerberos, SAML) and identity concepts (SSO, B2B/B2C federation, lifecycle management).
  • Mentor Commonwealth Cyber Engineers.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Entra ID and Azure AD.
  • Active Directory experience – Domain Controller Migration experience.
  • Experience in large enterprise environments with complex identity structures.
  • Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform qualifications and/or 5+ years of experience:
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty
    • Google Cloud Professional credentials
