Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Wellbeing Advocate Level 1 to support veterans, their families, and the wider military community through programs such as Veteran Homelessness Program, Financial Hardship assistance, and complex case management. You will play a key role in delivering veteran-centred wellbeing services, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve the quality of life for vulnerable veterans.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement client support plans using a veteran-centred, outcomes-based approach.
  2. Case manage veterans within programs such as Veteran Homelessness, Emergency Relief Funds, and more.
  3. Conduct home and hospital visits, ensuring veterans receive essential wellbeing services.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including The Salvation Army and DVA.
  5. Monitor client progress and escalate complex issues to the Senior Wellbeing Officer when necessary.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Degree in Humanities/Arts (Social Welfare), Health Sciences, Social Science, or related field, and 3-5 years' relevant experience.
  2. Extensive knowledge and experience in Strength-based Case Management.
  3. Empathy and experience in working in sensitive environments.
  4. Understanding of ADF and veteran community needs (desirable).
  5. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
