Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a Light Vehicle Fitter to join our Fixed Plant team at Granny Smith Gold Mine.

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is FIFO from Perth or DIDO for the local community.

About the role

  • Provide reliable and accurate assistance and practical application to minimise downtime and potential loss of production within the processing team
  • Practice preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of plant equipment
  • Share and display your maintenance knowledge, expertise, and practical application to minimise downtime and ensure production targets are met
  • Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing maintenance orders
  • Being available from time to time to be on the plant as an operator/maintainer the plant

About you

  • Possession of Mechanical or Auto Trade Qualifications
  • Significant post-trade mechanical maintenance experience working on fixed plant infrastructure, light vehicles, and small heavy diesel equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work within a team environment
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Possess of Mobile CN crane, dogging, Rigger basic EWP and Forklift tickets preferred
