Our Business Banking serves over 10,000 medium to large Australian businesses with turnovers from $10M to $2.5B, offering tailored insights and solutions for growth.

We're building something new at Commonwealth Bank, and we're looking for a standout Client Acquisition Executive to help lead the charge in our Origination & Emerging Corporate team.

This is a pure acquisition role you will focus solely on winning high-value deals and transitioning them to our Business Banking team. There are no portfolio management responsibilities, allowing you to concentrate fully on origination and strategic client engagement. The role is sector-agnostic, with a strong emphasis on securing whole-of-walletrelationships that deliver long-term value to our clients and the Bank.

What we're looking for:

  • A senior banker with big bank experience, deep expertise in the $10M–$50M commercial lending space, and a strong local network and market knowledge in Brisbane

  • Proven ability to attract mid-market clients with turnovers between $30M–$150M, ideally with a loyal client base that values long-term relationships

  • A natural dealmaker, someone who thrives on origination and isn't afraid to hit the pavement

  • Excited to be part of shaping the Origination & Emerging Corporate team

  • Commercially sharp, relationship-driven, and outcome-focused
