Overview

As a well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team for a 6 months temporary role (subject to extension). The role is based in Bankstown office with onsite parking. Initially in the office, then up to 2 days work from home.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll function for approximately 400 employees
  • Process and run pay runs on an alternate fortnightly basis
  • Handle payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all
  • Perform all BAU tasks, including new starter setup, terminations, leave management, and reporting
  • Address and resolve payroll queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure all payroll data is accurate and compliant with relevant legislation and company policies
  • Prepare month-end reports related to payroll
  • Monitor and ensure that all payroll processes adhere to the established quality standards
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Ideal Profile / Qualifications
  • Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function; 2-5 years experience
  • Prior work in a high volume fast paced environment would be beneficial i.e 300 employees and above
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
  • MUST HAVE experience in Preceda payroll system - this is a non negotiable
  • Be agile in your approach to work and be comfortable working in a change environment
  • Understanding of legislation and tax law
Benefits
  • 6 months temporary role and subject to extension
  • Immediate start but open to someone who has short notice period
  • $42 - $50 per hour + Super (Based on experience) (Can go slightly higher based on experience)
  • Bankstown NSW 2200
