• The position is an integral member of the Palliative Care Support Service, and applies high level Occupational Therapy knowledge, clinical skills and clinical expertise, leadership, consultation and professional supervision in the provision of palliative care services in the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
• The position requires a significant level of independence and personal accountability, including independent professional judgement in problem solving and clinical management, handling of a complex caseload beyond that of routine day to day clinical practice, without the need for direct regular clinical practice supervision.
• The position contributes to service development, education and research in the work unit.

• Clinical Expertise - Demonstrated high level clinical competence and experience, knowledge and expertise in Occupational Therapy management of palliative patients.
• Communication - Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical Ability - Demonstrated ability to provide high level Occupational Therapy services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
• Leadership - Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to developing clinicians.

• Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.
• Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
• Post-graduate training and experience in lymphoedema management is desirable.
• While not mandatory, completion of Basic (Level 1) and/or Advanced (Level 2) Lymphoedema training would be well regarded

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $132,513 p.a., comprising salary rates between $64.64 - $69.56 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Permanent Part Time, 64 hours p.f.)
