About the Workspaces:

OT's at Ascend are invited to work in our dedicated Allied Health Clinic in Maryborough. Your role will also include visits to patient's homes for assessment or therapy purposes. You are welcome to complete report writing or other administration work at your home or in community spaces if you would prefer.

Most of Ascend's patients are funded by the NDIS, with others supported by: DVA, Workcover, NIISQ, Medicare, Home Care Packages, and privately-paying clientele. Ascend provides Occupational Therapy intervention within the community in Hervey Bay, Maryborough, and surrounding areas.

About the Fraser Coast:

Hervey Bay is a coastal city about 3.5 hours north of Brisbane, famous for its world-class whale watching and being the gateway to the beautiful K'gari (Fraser Island). Our team enjoy the quieter traffic and pace of regional lifestyle whilst still enjoying all the facilities of a growing city. We also work out of the history-rich township of Maryborough, 30 mins south of Hervey Bay (towards Brisbane).

About the successful candidate:

The successful candidate will:

• Be a confident clinician with skills to work independently
• Able to confidently identify their scope of practice
• Obtain adequate knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and/or other public health fundings
• Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent rapport building and impression management skills
• Be able to work effectively and interact well within a team
• Have necessary tertiary qualifications, registration with AHPRA, and appropriate PI & PL insurance
• Have a reliable vehicle and a current driver's licence
• Have NDIS worker screening (or be eligible to complete)
• Have experience with diverse caseloads or disability.
