Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.

The College is seeking a full-time Finance Manager to commence in December 2024 or January 2025.

We are seeking a candidate to lead the Finance team in the effective management of all aspects of the College's financial operations. This vital role involves overseeing all financial operations, ensuring that timely and accurate financial information is available to the Business Manager, Principal, Senior Management Team, and College Council. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, a commitment to our mission, and the ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and audits.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • A CPA or CA would be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in financial management, auditing, budget forecasting, reporting, and accounting operations, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
  • Are proficient in financial software, reporting, and Microsoft Office 365 tools. PowerBi experience would be highly regarded but is not required.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment and have demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Have high level communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
  • Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities.
