Job Title: Field Technician - Telecommunications

We are seeking an experienced Field Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced telecommunications infrastructure, with a focus on microwave link systems. If you thrive in the field, enjoy working autonomously or in a small team, and are open to short-notice travel to remote areas, this role is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain microwave links (e.g., Nokia, Ceragon, Siklu, Aviat).
  • Climb towers and structures for installation and servicing of wireless systems.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and commission telecommunications and power systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in telecom installation and servicing.
  • Strong diagnostics and commissioning skills in the field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close team.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 2 weeks at short notice.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of microwave systems and Working at Heights certification.
  • Medical clearance to climb (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with specific microwave systems (e.g., Nokia, Ceragon).
  • Current security license.
  • Ability to work on impactful projects in a supportive team environment.
  • Enjoy variety, autonomy, and solving real-world technical challenges.
