Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our Service team in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in continuous learning and producing safe, reliable, and maintainable PLC and Motion control systems to meet client requirements within the critical infrastructure sector.

This is a permanent full-time role for an A-grade electrician with experience troubleshooting using online PLC and SCADA tools, especially Siemens and Schneider platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide field service and breakdown support across various industries.
  2. Perform preventative, corrective, and recommended maintenance with proper documentation.
  3. Conduct electrical installation works.
  4. Assist with project commissioning.
  5. Manage on-the-job timekeeping and invoicing.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
  • Industrial electrical experience.
  • Experience fault finding PLC/SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Electrical installation and commissioning experience.
  • Customer satisfaction focus.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster.
  • PLC programming skills, especially in Siemens and Schneider.
  • HMI/SCADA programming experience, particularly Ignition or Geo.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet Networking.
  • Desirable: Instrumentation, Hazardous Area, Working at Heights, and Confined Space training.
  • Australian drivers license and A-Grade Electrical License (Essential).
  • Right to work in Australia (Essential).
  • Ability to obtain an NV1 clearance (Essential).
