There is a huge opportunity for growth and development by joining this very successful privately-owned business that has been growing for 40+ years in Brisbane. They have strategically carved a niche in the market by focusing on customer requirements and high standards of quality. Due to ongoing success, they have created a new position within the finance department and are on the lookout for a highly experienced and knowledgeable Finance Manager to join their manufacturing operation in South Brisbane.

Your new role

Reporting to the MD, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing budgets, financial statements, cash flow analysis, accrual accounting and costing
  • Liaising with external auditors to assist with all regulatory audit requirements
  • Coordinate the costing of all materials, determine fixed costs and record the variables
  • Prepare data for annual budgets and track expenditure against targets
  • Using a large-scale ERP to raise jobs and create bills of materials
  • Analyse P&L and balance sheet accounts to understand cost drivers
  • Submit statutory reports, including GST, FBT and group tax
  • Business partner effectively with all key internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree qualified
  • Ideally have completed your CA/CPA (or equivalent)
  • Excellent technical and cost accounting capabilities
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Background in Manufacturing / Inventory is essential
  • Ideally worked for a smaller / growing business
