    About The Role

    Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, Finance Manager will be a core member of the finance team with daily interactions with senior management, collaborating with several other divisions, and maintaining the integrity of our financial statements.

    Our Head Office is based in Summer Hill, with on-site parking, access to some gym facilities and significant childcare benefits for the successful candidate.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Oversee the financial accounting function, including transactional accounting and cashflow management
    • Manage the full month-end process, including preparation of Leadership pack with results commentary
    • Maintain data integrity within the accounting system (MYOB Advanced) and chart of accounts (COA)
    • Prepare and review monthly reconciliations and reports
    • Review the working capital and cashflow requirements for the business on a daily basis
    • Statutory compliance, including leading the half year and full year external audit
    • Review tax compliance issues arising from BAS and FBT
    • Manage the government funding process, including investigating new initiatives, and managing compliance audits
    • Assist and be responsible for some business administration and company secretarial work
    • Manage a team of 4 direct and 6 indirect reports, across AR, and Financial Accounting

    Key Requirements
    • 5+ years' experience in a Financial/Management Accounting or a similar role
    • Management experience
    • Degree in Accounting
    • Qualified CA / CPA
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Understand and ability to articulate technical accounting matters
    • Working rights in Australia

    Highly Regarded
    • Childcare industry or multi-site / centre experience
    • MYOB Advanced experience
    • Income tax experience
