Lead advisory finance support & project accounting, driving strategies for financial performance, reporting, and analysis in the department.

Your new role:
As the Manager, Investing Program you will proactively drive strategic financial management within a high-performing team. You will undertake a variety of activities including but not limited to:
- Providing critical and strategic capital investing financial information and policy advice to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Overseeing financial systems, accrual reporting, and accounting services to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes that support Portfolio Budget Papers, period and accrual reporting, and reconciliations.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the Business Partnering function to enhance overall performance and ensure financial alignment with organisational goals.
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert and project lead in the implementation and oversight of budget strategies to ensure smooth integration of financial data into the budgeting process.
About you:
As the successful Manager, Investing Program, you will champion the values of trust and cooperation and approach the role with a strategic and analytical mindset. You will be proactive in making sound decisions that consider organisational needs and evaluate risks.
You will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, economics, or related financial / business management field
- Proven significant experience in managing the provision of project accounting, budgeting, and reporting services in a large and complex organisation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders on a range of sensitive and complex issues to achieve positive outcomes.
- Experience in the effective development, implementation and management of a large complex organisational budget and forecasting within a framework of critical corporate objectives and in consideration of operational, political, financial, and strategic issues.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, economics or related business or financial management field.
- It is mandatory that no person, whether or not already working in SA Health, may be appointed to a position in SA Health unless they have provided a satisfactory current Criminal and Relevant History Screening, as required by the SA Health Criminal and Relevant History Screening Policy Directive.
- For appointment in a Prescribed Position under the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act (2016), a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required from the Department for Human Services Screening Unit.
- Appointment is subject to immunisation risk category requirements. There may be ongoing immunisation requirements that must be met.
- Depending on work requirements the incumbent may be transferred to other locations across SA Health to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities either on a permanent or temporary basis subject to relevant provisions of the Public Sector Act 2009 for Public Sector employees or the SA Health (Health Care Act) Human Resources Manual for Health Care Act employees.
- The incumbent may be required to participate in Counter Disaster activities including attendance, as required, at training programs and exercises to develop the necessary skills required to participate in responses in the event of a disaster and/or major incident.
