The Project Manager, Frontline Technology Services acts as the subject matter expert within the ICT Transition Project, leading the service delivery team who ensure the success of the ICT Transition Project through the provision of high-level advice and support in Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Triple Zero (000) Telephony environments. The role oversees the provision of said advice, and provides specialist consultations to operational and corporate staff, key service providers, stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure the success of the project.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:

  • Extensive experience and a proven track record in Project Management within an ICT environment with many competing priorities and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to successfully plan, supervise and manage the project to deliver agreed deliverables and objectives within appropriate timeframes, governance, and scope.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate business outcomes and benefits realisation through planning and leading projects and changes that align to defined benefits.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to a wide variety of stakeholders in an environment of change as subject matter expert.
  • Highly effective client/stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability and proven commitment to quality customer service and collaborative teamwork.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues affecting an Operations Centre, call taking and dispatch services, including experience with dispatch software and its application.

The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
  • Accreditation in PRINCE2 and/or experience in project management and organisational change management is highly desirable.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Paramedicine or Health Science (Paramedic); or an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Ambulance); OR a Certificate III in Ambulance Communications - Call Taking and a Certificate IV in Ambulance Communications - Dispatch and certification to practice as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher in Queensland; or equivalent qualifications, as determined by the Commissioner, QAS.
  • Whilst not mandatory, tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in ICT or a business-related discipline will be highly regarded.
  • The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
