Calling All Skilled Trades - Port Botany Shutdown - Excellent Rates

Are you a highly skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, or Rigger looking for a short-term, high-earning opportunity?

Randstad is seeking experienced and motivated tradespeople to join our team for a 4-day bi-annual maintenance shutdown at our clients chemical plant in Port Botany. This is your chance to contribute your expertise and earn excellent rates with significant overtime potential.

Shutdown Dates : 4 days : Monday 25th August - Thursday 28th August 2025

Work Schedule :

  • 10-14 hour shifts (dependent per day)
  • Start time : 6 : 00 AM
  • Penalty rates apply after 8 hours (time and half, double time)

We are looking for individuals with proven experience in :

Mechanical Fitters : All aspects of plant maintenance, including dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling mechanical equipment. Experience with pumps, valves, compressors, and rotating equipment is highly desirable.Boilermakers : Welding, fabrication, and repair of pressure vessels, pipelines, and structural steel. Experience with various welding processes and materials is essential.Riggers : Safe and efficient lifting and movement of heavy equipment and materials. Intermediate rigger tickets and experience with various lifting techniques are required.

To be successful in this role, you will need :

Relevant trade qualifications and licenses.Demonstrable experience in a similar industrial environment, preferably within the chemical or process industry.A strong commitment to safety procedures and regulations.The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.Excellent problem-solving skills.Reliability and punctuality.
