Apprentice Electrician

OUR TEAM

Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world's most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.

Working at our site in you will learn on the job and study to gain your Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and an A Class Electrical Licence upon successful completion

Some of the key activities you will be involved in include:

• Conducting preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities on equipment
• Learning how to test, fault find, alter and repair electrical equipment, including electrical wiring work
• Interpret drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturers specifications
• Completing risk assessments and identify underperforming plant equipment for further analysis

• Long-term, secure career paths in an industry that is contributing to the protection of Australia's Sovereignty

The most important attribute for the role is a great attitude and willingness to learn, but you will also need to:

• Have completed year 11 studies at a minimum (by the end of 2025)
• Have great communication skills and enjoy interacting with different groups of people
• Be able to complete maths problems and put this to use in the workplace
• We will consider transfers of 1/2/3rd year apprentices as well as school leavers
